Starving Artist

Joey's new obsession = coloring! All day, everyday... if I'd let him. Joey, do you want dinner? "Kuh-lah!" Joey, wanna go night night? "Kuh-lah!" He lives and breathes his art.

Crayons have replaced babies, dollies, and doggies. Today he insisted on bringing her box of crayons with him to school instead of his baby.

Coloring is great for his creativity, imagination and...bossiness! When we color together, I'm limited to the green crayon and may only color on his terms. What can I say, he has a very distinct vision on how Big Bird should be shaded.

Let me play with the hooker

Submitted by John oct 23rd, 2011

I don't make this stuff up. I started this because I don't have to. If you just pay attention to the things kids say there is enough material for a life time.

Actual conversation last night. Maggie bought a new shower curtain, so we were taking the other one down. As we were taking down the shower curtain hooks, the following conversation took place with my 3 year old:
- "Daddy, I want to play with that hooker."
- "It's not a hooker, but ok, here."
- (Joey holds it up). "Daddy look a hooker. Can I put it on the hole?"
- "No".
